Ana Lily Amirpour is an American film writer, director, producer and actor who is best known for her debut movie A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014). The vampire horror movie debuted at the Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews and the film community was forced to take notice of a new voice in the world of filmmaking. The movie was based on Amirpour’s short film of the same name from 2011. Before making her big screen debut she wrote and directed several short movies like Six and a Half (2009), True Love (2010), Ketab (2010), Pashmaloo (2011) and A Little Suicide (2012). In 2016 Amirpour directed Suki Waterhouse, Jason Momoa, Keanu Reeves, Diego Luna, Jim Carrey and Giovanni Ribisi in the dystopian sci-fi movie, The Bad Batch.
