Anna Deavere Smith is an American actor, writer, and producer, born on September 18th, 1950, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. She was best known for her roles in All My Children, Philadelphia, and Nurse Jackie. She won the Black Reel Award and Washington DC Area Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actress, for The Human Stain.
