Making her film debut with the horror-thriller, Ghost Image (2007), Annalise Basso is an American actress and model. She went on to star in TV episodes of popular series' like Desperate Housewives (2004-2012), Lie to Me (2009-2011) and the TV movie, Love Takes Wing (2009), before attracting viewers with her role as Eden Hamby in an episode of the vampire drama, True Blood (2008-2014). Basso also appeared in the Adam Sandler starrer, Bedtime Stories (2008). Over the years she has appeared in TV shows like Childrens Hospital (2008-2016), Bones (2005-2017), Parks and Recreation (2009-2015), New Girl (2011- ), Nikita (2010-2013), Constantine (2014-2015), and Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams (2017- ). Basso has also had recurring roles in the TV drama, The Red Road (2014-2015) and the mystery-crime series, Cold (2016- ).
In 2013 Basso was cast as the lead actress in DJ Caruso's coming-of-age drama, Standing Up. She next starred in the horror hit directed by Mike Flanagan, Oculus. In the 2016 Mike Ross movie, Basso played Vespyr Cash and starred alongside Viggo Mortensen, George MacKay, Samantha Isler, Steve Zahn and Frank Langella. She reunited with director Mike Flanagan in 2016 for the horror-thriller, Ouija: Origin of Evil, a prequel to the 2014 horror movie, Ouija. The movie turned out to be yet another hit at the box office. Mark Pellington's 2018 drama, Nostalgia, saw Basso share the screen space with established actors like Ellen Burstyn, Bruce Dern, Jon Hamm, Catherine Keener and James Le Gros. In 2018 Basso starred in director Sylvain White's supernatural horror film, Slender Man. The movie is based on the creepypasta Internet meme created by Eric Knudsen. The movie also has Joey King, Julia Goldani Telles, Jaz Sinclair, Javier Botet and Alex Fitzalan in important roles. Annalise Basso has two elder siblings, Alexandria Basso and Gabriel Basso, who are also actors.
