A veteran Indian actress, based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Aparajita Mohanty is known for her work in the Odia film industry. The wife of former Odia actor Uttam Mohanty, she made her debut on the silver screen with Seeta Labkush (1980). Her other notable films include Abhilasha (1983), Jaga Hatare Pagha (1985), Chakadola Karuchi Leela (1990), Dadagiri (1993), Vasudha (1996), Sahara Jaluchi (1998), Sagram (2005), Aila Re Odia Pua (2009), Loafer (2011) and Sister Sridevi (2017). Apart from her acting career, Mohanty is also a popular politician, she entered politics in February 2014 and she is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC).

In 2018, she appeared alongside Karan and Uttam Mohanty in Sudhakar Vasanth`s Odia drama Shakti.
