The brother of famous Bollywood director Imtiaz Ali, writer Arif Ali started his career with the sequel of popular Medical drama Sanjeevani - A Medical Boon, Dil Mill Gaye in 2007. The show proved to a breakthrough for the writer's career and became an instant popular series among Indian audience. In 2014, Ali made his directorial debut with a Hindi feature film Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, which he also penned down.
