Best remembered for his roles in the soap opera Radha Kalyana and Lakshmi Baramma, Chandan Kumar, better known by his screen name, Chandan mainly works in the Kannada TV and film industry. It was during his stint in the TV industry that Chandan received many offers to act in a film and he made his debut on the silver screen with Lifeu Ishtene (2011) where he played a supporting role.

He made his debut in a lead role with Parinaya (2014) and later starred in films like Eradondla Mooru (2015), Luv U Alia (2015), Bangalore 560023 (2015) and Luv U Alia (2016), which marked his debut in a Hindi film. His 2018 release includes Prema Baraha (2018), a Kannada drama written and directed by Arjun Sarja. He is also associated with the Tamil movie Sollividava written and directed by Arjun Sarja. His 2019 release includes Kurukshetra.
