Dayal Nihalani is an Indian assistant director, director, writer and producer, who works in the Hindi and Bhojpuri film industries. He began his directorial career with the 1987 movie, Andhaa Yudh. Over the years he directed movies like Karm Yodha (1992), Gambler (1995), Ek Tha Raja (1996), Insaaf: The Final Justice (1997) and Chhapra Ke Prem Kahani (2013). Before directing he assisted Shyam Benegal on movies like Bhumika (1977), Kalyug (1981), Satyajit Ray (1982), Mandi (1983), Welcome to Sajjanpur (2008) and Well Done Abba! (2009). In 2017 Dayal turned producer for the Marathi movie, Ti Ani Itar. The movie is directed by his brother Govind Nihalani.
