Deepika Chikhalia is an Indian actress who was propelled to popularity for essaying the role of Sita in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan in 1987. Prior to this, she made her debut with Sun Meri Laila in 1983, which was a huge success at the box office, but it was not until 1987 that she got a chance to work in popular films. She acted in films like Bhagwan Dada (1986), Ghar Sansar (1986), and Khudai (1994), among others.

After her stint as Sita, she also bagged prominent roles in television serials like Vikram Aur Betaal(1988), The Sword of Tipu Sultan (1989) and Luv Kush (1989). She starred opposite Rajesh Khanna in Ghar Ka Chiraag (1989) and Rupaye Dus Karod (1991), after which she ventured into films in other languages. Chikhalia did a few films in Kannada, Bengali, Tamil and Malayalam but met with limited success. Later in her career, she ventured into politics and became an MP as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. Deepika also featured in the TV serial Chutta Chheda (2017) on Colors Gujarati channel. As of 2018, she is associated with Natsamrat.
