The daughter of veteran Bollywood actress Sushma Seth, Divya is an Indian film and television actress. She is best remembered for playing the mother of Shahid Kapoor in Hindi Romance Jab We Met (2007). Seth started off on the small screen with Doordarshan show Hum Log and went to star in popular television serials like Dekh Bhai Dekh (1993), Banegi Apni Baat (1995), Abhimaan (2000) and Ek Nayi Ummeed: Roshni (2015).

In films, she has been a part of hit Bollywood films like English Vinglish (2015), Dil Dhadakane Do (2016) and Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi (2017). Her other projects include The Accidental Prime Minister (2019), where she portrays the Indian politician Sonia Gandhi.
