Ellie Kemper is an American actress, writer, and comedian, who was born in Kansas City. She graduated from the Princeton University in 2002, where she was a part of the Princeton Triangle Club, a touring musical comedy theater troupe. In the subsequent years, she made appearances on a number of television shows such as Late Night with Conan O`Brien, Important Things with Demetri Martin and The Gastineau Girls. Over the years, Ellie has been doing a variety of work, such as acting in films, television shows, comedy sketches, and web series. Her most notable works as an actress include The Office (2005), Bridesmaids (2011), 21 Jump Street (2012). She also earned wide acclaim for her appearances in the television show The Office (2009-2013).

Ellie soon bagged the starring role in the Netflix comedy series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015-2019), for which she has received two nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Her latest release includes adventure animation The Secret Life of Pets 2, Directed by Chris Renaud.
