British-American film, stage and television actress Frances Fisher's showbiz career spans over four decades, in the course of which she has appeared in over 50 films and numerous television shows. She started out in theatre, appearing in several off-Broadway productions before foraying into television with the daytime soap opera The Edge of Night. Subsequently, Fisher made her feature film debut in the comedy movie Can She Bake a Cherry Pie? (1983). Some of the actress' most memorable performances have come in films like Unforgiven (1992), the epic romance-disaster film Titanic (1997), the drama film Janie Jones (2010) and the neo-noir legal thriller The Lincoln Lawyer (2011). Besides these, Fisher has also appeared in tv shows like Law & Order, Two and a Half Men, Criminal Minds and Fargo. Other significant feature film credits include Striptease (1996), House of Sand and Fog (2003) and Woman in Gold (2015).
