Associated with Bollywood, Haidar Ali is an Indian actor and screenwriter born on February 16th, 1948. He is the youngest son of India's first Beauty queen Pramila (Esther Victoria Abraham) and actor Kumar. The actor has been a part of historical movies like Mughal-e-Azam and Shri 420. Haidar Ali, also credited as Hyder Ali or Haider Ali, made his debut on small screen with the Doordarshan series Nukkad (1986), followed by Circus (1989).
Already an established actor on the small screen, Ali started his Bollywood career in the 1980s and did small roles in films such as Saaransh (1984), Aaj (1987), Main Zinda Hoon (1988). Ali has also appeared in films such as Baazi (1995), Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000), Chalte Chalte (2003) and Kismat Konnection (2008).
Haider is also the co-writer for the epic historical drama Jhodaa Akbar, alongside Ashutosh Gowariker. He also did a cameo in the song Khwaja, a popular song from the same movie.
