A National Award-winning actor, Hansraj Jagtap is known for his work in the Marathi film industry. Born and raised in Beed, Jagtap comes from a very humble family where his father worked as a teacher in a Zilla Parishad school. With absolutely no connection in the film industry, Hansraj`s foray into the film industry happened by chance as he happened to meet actor Mangesh Desai in Aurangabad who advised him to pursue acting.

A trained Bharatnatyam dancer, Hansraj started his professional career in the Marathi film industry with the award-winning film Dhag (2012), a drama directed by Shivaji Lotan Patil. For the role, he beat more than 100 children in the audition and after the release, he won several awards including the National Film Award. His 2017 release includes Itemgiri, a Marathi drama directed by Pradeep Tonge and Mangesh Shendge. His 2018 release includes Ziprya and Re Raya. His 2019 releases include Sur Sapata and Ek Hota Pani.
