Best remembered for playing the role of Ajay Devgn`s character`s daughter Anju Salgaonkar in the 2015 crime thriller Drishyam, Ishita Dutta is an Indian film and television actress, and is also the younger sister of former Femina Miss India Tanushree Dutta. After completing her schooling at D.B.M.S. English School in Jamshedpur, she went on to pursue her media studies in Mumbai. Making her acting debut, Ishita was seen in the 2012 Telugu romantic drama Chanakyudu, which also featured Tanish in the lead.

Soon after the release of her debut movie, she was signed for Yenidu Manasali, where she was set to appear alongside her sister, however, the movie never say the light of the day. Nonetheless, she bagged the role of Poonam on Star Plus` primetime show Ek Ghar Banaunga in 2013, following which she was seen in Life OK`s Rishton ka Saudagar - Baazigar in 2016. Meanwhile, in 2015, she was seen playing the lead role in the Kannada comedy Raja Rajendra, which opened to mainly positive reviews.

Making her Bollywood debut, Ishita bagged a role in the remake of the superhit Malayalam movie Drishyam, titled the same in the Hindi remake, playing the role of Anju, and was cast alongside Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and Tabu. The movie went on to garner massive critical acclaim and was declared a superhit at the box office. Following her Bollywood debut, Ishita was next cast alongside comedian and actor Kapil Sharma in the 2017 history comedy drama Firangi, which features her playing the role of Sargi. Her other releases include Lashtam Pashtam (2018), Setters (2019), directed by Ashwini Chaudhary and Blank (2019). Her notable works include Kahaa Toh Tha (2020), Drishyam 2 (2022) and De De Pyaar De 2 (2025).
