Jeff Beal was born June 20, 1963 in Hayward, California is an American composer of music for film. His debut recording "Liberation" was for Island records by the New York jazz community his directorial film was debut Pollock (2000). He was nominated for 15 Emmy awards. He is known for his works Tibet: Cry of the Snow Lion, Red Shift, Alternate Route and Monk. His other release includes Breaking News In Yuba County, directed by Tate Taylor.
