Actress Karishma Tanna first rose to prominence when she essayed the character of Indira Virani in the long-running tv show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and has since made her mark in Hindi cinema and television through several notable performances. She made her feature film debut with the romantic drama Dosti- Friends Forever (2005), which starred Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles.

The Kannada film I Am Sorry Mathe Banni Preethsona (2011), the Bollywood sex comedy Grand Masti (2013) and the biographical drama Sanju (2018) are among Karishma's other significant feature film credits. Besides these, she has also appeared in popular reality tv shows like Comedy Circus, Bigg Boss and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
