Many of us probably know him as the man who launched one of the most talented actors of Bollywood Shahid Kapoor with his directorial debut Ishq Vishk. However, the entertainment industry knows him for his pioneering work in the field of music videos in India.
One of the most premiere music video makers of the '90s, Ken Ghosh has given us some memorable videos including Dil Dhadke (1992) by Baba Sehgal and the iconic Made in India by Alisha Chinai. He has also worked on the music video of the remix Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's Afreen Afreen - which sold over five lakh copies. Ken also established his own production house Shadow Films in 1992.
He made his directorial debut in 2003 with the movie Ishq Vishk which saw Shahid Kapoor making his Bollywood debut alongside Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasurywala. The coming-of-age romantic film received a positive response at the box office and propelled Shahid Kapoor's career in Bollywood. Following his success with his debut, Ken teamed up with Shahid yet again for his second project - Fida (2004), which, however, failed to garner any positive response at the box office. Ken's third movie Chance Pe Dance (2010), which starred Shahid again, also failed at the box office. In 2017, he directed the movie XXX starring Kyra Dutt, Rithvik Dhanjani, Aparna Sharma, and Aparnaa Bajpai.
