Kitu Gidwani is a nationally known television, stage and film actress with a career spanning around 25 years. She has been a part of television hits like Airhostess, Junoon and Swabhimaan and has had a successful modelling career as well. Theatre is her first love and she has worked with actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Vikram Kapadia, Anahita Uberoi and Lilette Dubey. She has also worked with filmmakers like Govind Nihalani, Madhur Bhandarkar, Saurabh Verma and Deepa Mehta, with memorable performances in Earth (1998) and Fashion (2008). She has also worked in French cinema and won the Best Actress Award in 1998 at a major French film festival for Dance of the Wind by Rajan Khosa. Her debut film was Holi in 1984 and some of her other films include Janam (1985), Black (1987) and Rukmavati Ki Haveli (1991). She later appeared in films like Deham (2001), Happily Ever After (2001), Dil Diya Hai (2006), Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008) and Dhobi Ghat (2011). She was last seen in, Student of the Year (2012) and Ek Bura Aadmi (2013). She will be a part of the upcoming May, 2016 release, Traffic.
