Entering the entertainment industry in 2003 as Pete 'The Love Professor' Jones on the Australian TV show, Always Greener (2001-2003), Matt Passmore is an Australian actor. After graduating from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Passmore presented the long running Australian educational children's TV show, Play School. He went on to star in other Australian TV series like Blue Heelers (1994-2006), The Cooks (2004-2005), Last Man Standing (2005), McLeod's Daughters (2001-2009), Underbelly (2008-2013), and The Cut (2009). Two of his best remembered roles are perhaps as homicide detective Jim Longworth in The Glades (2010-2013) and husband turned gigolo Neil Truman in Satisfaction (2014-2015). Passmore was also seen in the FOX Network TV series Lethal Weapon (2016). He made his debut on the big screen in a forgettable role as a Network Executive in the comedy, Son of the Mask (2005). Passmore's acting credits also include Come Back to Me (2014) and Is That a Gun in Your Pocket? (2016).

In 2017 Passmore starred as Carly in director-duo Michael and Peter Spierig's, horror-mystery, Jigsaw. The movie is the eighth installment in the Saw franchise. The cast also includes Tobin Bell, Brittany Allen, Callum Keith Rennie, Laura Vandervoort, Cle Bennett, and Hannah Emily Anderson.
