Meghan McCarthy is an American screenwriter and producer. Best known as the showrunner, writer and story editor of the animated fantasy television series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, she has also served as a writer on shows like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Fish Hooks. Besides screenwriting and production, McCarthy has also associated with the My Little Pony franchise as a lyricist. Other significant writing credits include the animated musical Class of 3000 and My Little Pony: The Movie (2017), the latter of which she also features her as an executive producer.
