Monica Dogra is an American actress and singer. Originally from India, she was raised in Baltimore, Maryland and has a Bachelor`s degree in Music from the New York University. Monica began her career as a singer by forming an electro-rock duo called Shaa`ir + Func with guitarist Randolph Correia. In 2007, they released their first album, New Day: The Love Album, following which they released two more albums, Light Tribe (2008) and Mantis (2010). Monica has also lent her voice for the Hindi song Dooriyan Bhi Hai Zaroori (Break Ke Baad) and the theme song (English version) of Inkaar (2013). She switched to acting, when she bagged a guest appearance in the blockbuster film, Rock On!! (2008) following which, she made her debut in the critically acclaimed, Dhobi Ghat. She was last seen in Fireflies (2014) and will soon make her next appearance in, Teraa Surroor, set to release in March 2016.
