Before making his debut as a costume designer in 2016 with the movie Te3n, Neelanchal was associated with several movies as an assistant costume designer or an associate costume designer. He was credited as an assistant costume designer for movies such as Darna Zaroori Hai - You Gotta Be Scared, Om Shanti Om, Kaminey, Aladin, Ek Thi Daayan, and Queen, and has also worked on the television series Yudh. In 2017, he was roped in to be the costume designer in the Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer romantic drama Toilet - Ek Prem Katha.
