P. Lankesh was an Indian poet, fiction writer, playwright, translator, screenplay writer and a journalist. He was married to Indira Lankesh and has 3 children. Lankesh has worked in several films including Pallavi, Anuroopa, Khandavide Ko Maamsavide Ko and Ellindalo Bandavaru. He won the National Film Award for Best Direction in the year 1967.
