Actor and musician Patrick Fugit began his showbiz journey with a lead role in the acclaimed comedy-drama Almost Famous (2000), where he essayed the role of a child prodigy named William Miller. Since then, he has appeared in over 20 movies and a number of tv shows, primarily in supporting roles. Among Fugit`s best-remembered movie roles are his turn as Emmett Orwin in the comedy The Amateurs (2005), Robin Jones in the comedy-drama We Bought a Zoo (2011) and Officer James Gilpin in the psychological thriller Gone Girl (2014). Besides his work in Hollywood, the actor has also appeared in popular tv shows like ER (1994-`09), House MD (2004-`12) and Outcast (2016-), the last of which featured him in a lead role. In 2018, Fugit essayed the role of NASA astronaut Elliot See in the biographical drama First Man, which was directed by Damien Chazelle and featured Ryan Gosling in the lead role.
