Phil Collins is one man who has done it all. He is an English drummer, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and actor. Have you heard of the rock band Genesis? Phil Collins was the drummer and singer of that band. His solo career has been very impressive too. Between 1982 and 1989, Collins scored three UK and seven US number one singles in his solo career.

Collins was born and raised in London and was passionate about drums from the age of five. He was very versatile in everything that he did and his talent secured his various roles as a child artist. He later went on to join the band Genesis in 1970 as their drummer and in a few years, Collins became the lead singer of the band.
