Born in India brought up in Dubai, actor Rithvik Dhanjani gained popularity for his role as the antagonist Jay Khurana in the TV show Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani (2010 - '11). He developed an interest in acting during his college days and after his graduation from the City of London College he went on to participate in theatre. The actor then moved to Mumbai from Dubai and enrolled at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Institute, following which he began appearing in TV shows.

Rithvik began his career in 2009 with the TV show Bandini in which he appeared in a negative cameo role. After his successful performance in Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, Rithvik delivered several acclaimed performances including the award-winning role on the TV show Pavitra Rishta. The actor won Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in Pavitra Rishta in 2013. In the same year, he also won the sixth season of dance reality show, Nach Baliye, along with partner Asha Negi. Additionally, the actor has served as a host to several TV shows Yeh Hai Aashiqui, V Distraction, Nach Baliye 7, and Super Dancers.

Rithvik made his feature film debut in 2011 with a role in the movie Jo Hum Chahein directed by Pawan Gill. It was only in 2017 that he appeared in his second film XXX directed by Ken Ghosh.
