Rupam Islam is an Indian playback singer, lyricist, composer, who is known for his work in the Bengali film industry and for occasionally dabbling in Bollywood. He began his journey in the music world by starting his own band in 1998, named Fossils. Their first album, Tor Bhorshatey released in 1998. Over the years they have churned out albums like Fossils (2002), Fossils 2 (2004), Mission F (2006), Rupam n Bumpy (2007), Rupam on the Rocks(2009), Mahanagar@Kolkata (2010), Nishkromon (2011) and Prerona (2014). As a singer Rupam has sung for movies like Jannat: In Search of Heaven... (2008), Chalo Let`s Go (2008), Autograph (2010), Icche (2011), Chaplin (2011), Jhumura (2015), Rajkahini (2015) and Jawker Dhan. He received the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer 2010 for Mahanagar@Kolkata.

Rupam Islam`s 2018 releases include,Shabdo Kolpo Droom, Oskar and Happy Pill. His 2019 releases include Misha and Buro Sadhu.
