Considered to be one of the greatest and the most influential writers of short stories of his time, Saadat Hasan Manto is an Indo-Pakistani writer, playwright and author who is his career has produced 22 collections of short stories, one novel, three collections of personal sketches and two collections of personal sketches. The actor who was tried six times for excessive obscenity in his writings during the British India, he is best noted for his stories that were a brutally honest count of the India-Pakistan partition in 1947.
