Having no prior experience in acting, Sahil Joshi auditioned for the role of Abhimanyu in Makarand Mane;s Marathi language movie Ringan. After being selected for the role, Sahil underwent acting training for a duration of three months before the shoot began. The movie that released in 2015 received the Best Feature Film in Marathi Award at the 63rd National Film Festival Award. The film was theatrically released in India in June 2017. In 2018, he appeared alongside Sunny Pawar and Aarya Ghare in Ramkumar Gorakhanath Shedge`s Marathi drama Aa Bb Kk.
