Salim Ahmad Ghouse is an Indian film, television and theatre actor, theatre director, and martial artist. He has acted in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and English films. Salim Ghouse became popular due to the TV series Subah. He is also known for playing Rama, Krishna, Tipu Sultan in Shyam Benegal`s TV Series Bharat Ek Khoj. He worked in Mahesh Bhatt`s Saaransh (1984). In 1989, he made portrayed as the villain in the Tamil film, Vetri Vizha, directed by Prathap Pothan as the rival to Kamal Haasan. He starred alongside Mohanlal in the classic Malayalam movie, Thazhvaram, directed by Bharathan. In 1993 he did a villain role in Mani Ratnam`s film, Thiruda Thiruda, and also acted alongside Madhuri Dixit and Shahrukh Khan in the 1997 film, Koyla, then in 2009 he acted in Vettaikaran.
