Sandeepa Dhar is an Indian actress, dancer, and model. The actress broke into Bollywood with the 2010 movie
Isi Life Mein, which won her a lot of praise. Sandeepa is also well known for performing in the international musical West Side Story.
Early LifeSandeepa Dhar was born on 2 February 1989, in Srinagar, Kashmir. She began studying at St. Michael`s Convent, in ITI Mankapur, a small township in Uttar Pradesh, and completed her schooling in Bengaluru, at the National Public School. Sandeepa then moved to Mumbai and graduated in advertising at the iconic St. Xavier`s College.
Sandeepa is a trained Bharatnatyam, Jazz, and Contemporary dancer and learned dancing from experts like Shiamak Davar and Terence Lewis. She won several awards for her dancing before she moved on to acting in films.

Isi Life Mein marked Sandeepa Dhar`s debut. Released on Christmas eve in 2010, the movie also saw the debut of actor Akshay Oberoi. Theatre CareerSandeepa Dhar plays the lead role of Maria in the international Australian dance musical West Side Story, which has been inspired by William Shakespeare`s Romeo and Juliet. She is the only Indian to perform in the musical and says that she bagged the role while studying dance in Australia. As on 21 May 2016, West Side Story completed over 100 musicals across 12 countries.
