Shagufta Rafique is an Indian film screenwriter and director who primarily works in Bollywood films. Shagufta gained success and fame in the industry when she joined Vishesh Films, a production company owned by the acclaimed director Mahesh Bhatt. Some of her most popular films as a writer includes Who Lamhe (2006), Raaz -The Mystery Continues (2009), Murder 2 (2011), Aashiqui 2 (2013) and Mr. X (2014). After a successful career as a writer, Shagufta made her debut as a director with the Punjabi film, Dushman (2017), starring Kartaar Cheema, Jashan Singh and Sakshi Gulati. His 2019 release includes Mon Jaane Na, directed by Shagufta Rafique.
