Shonali Bose is an independent filmmaker who grew up in India and has spent her adult life in the U.S. She is known for directing films like Amu (2005) and Margarita with a Straw (2014), which received several accolades including the National Film Award. Bose even served as a jury member for various film festivals. In 2019, she has directed the film The Sky Is Pink which stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Farhan Akhtar in the lead roles based on the motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary.
