Shruthy Menon is an Indian actress, television host and model, who started her career in the movie industry by starring in the Malayalam film Sancharram in 2004, written, directed and produced by Ligy J. Pullappally, which follows the story of two lesbian lovers in Kerala. She was then seen in Kadha Thudarunnu, which turned out to be a super hit film, followed by the thriller Apoorvaragam, under the direction of Sibi Malayil. She also featured in the satirical comedy drama Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty starring Nithya Menon, Shweta Menon, and Unni Mukundan in the lead roles. One of her most appreciated performances was in the romantic drama Kismath, revolving around the obstacles faced by two lovers due to their different religious backgrounds. For her work in this Shanavas K Bavakkutty's directorial venture, Shruthy was nominated with the Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Malayalam. Not only this, she also has several television appearances such as Amrita Super star season 1 , Vodafone Comedy Stars on Asianet, Surya Challenge on Surya TV, and the ALT Balaji web series titled The Test Case. Her 2017 venture includes director Pradeep Chokli's family drama Chippy, about a group of school kids who plan to make a short film based on their experiences in life.
