A former American playwright, dramatist, and screenwriter, Sidney Coe Howard is best known for his work in Gone with the Wind, which won him a posthumous Academy Award in 1940. The winner of Pulitzer Prize of Drama, Howard made her debut on the silver screen with Swords in 1929. His other notable film credits include The Silver Cord (1926), Marseilles (1930), Yellow Jack (1934), The Ghost of Yankeee Doodle (1937), and Gone with the Wind (1939).
