Born in Bangalore, India, Sindhu Loknath began her acting career in 2009. After obtaining a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology, Sindhu decided to pursue acting and made a cameo appearance in the Kannada movie Parichaya. However, it was the 2011 movie Lifeu Ishtene that got her recognition in the industry. Following which she earned her first Filmfare Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the movie Drama. A few of Sindhu`s other notable films include Case No. 18/9 and Love in Mandya. In 2017, she made her debut in the Tulu film industry with the movie Ambur Caterers directed by Jai Prasad Bajal. Her 2019 release includes Kaanadante Maayavadanu, directed by Raj Pathipati. Her 2021 release includes the horror-thriller film Krishna Talkies, directed by Vijayanandha.
