Popularly known by her roles in popular films like Major Saab and Hum Sath Sath Hai, Sonali Bendre is one of the most well-known faces of Bollywood. Throughout her stellar career, she has essayed multiple roles across different platforms. The actress made her debut with a lead role in the film Aag when she was just 19-years-old in 1994. Her stellar acting skills made her one of the most sought-after actresses in the industry and she soon starred in various popular films like Diljale (1996), Bhai (1997), Major Saab (1998), Sarfarosh (1999), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999) and Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai (2000), all of which were major box-office hits. She received widespread critical recognition as well as love from the audience for her roles in Zakhm (1998) and Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega (2001), where she essayed the role of Saif Ali Khan's wife.

Post her appearance in the film Kal Ho Naa Ho in 2003, Bendre took a hiatus from acting. She made her comeback in the 2013 film Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobara. Apart from this, Bendre has been one of the only actresses to have acted opposite with all the four Khans of Bollywood. In addition to films, Sonali has been an active member of the television industry starting off her career in reality shows with Kya Masti Kya Dhoom. She then went on to serve as a judge on Mr & Mrs Television, Indian Idol 4 and India's Got Talent. The year 2012 also saw her serve as a judge on the dance reality show Hindustan Ke Hunarbaaz on Life OK and India's Best Dramebaaz, a platform for little kids to showcase their acting talent. Bendre has not only shown her acting skills in the Hindi film industry but also done quite a bit of work in the South Indian film industry which include films like Preethse (2000), Indra (2002), and Shankar Dada MBBS (2004), among others.
