Sylvia Hoeks is a Dutch actress, who started modeling at the age of 14. Right after high school she attended the Maastricht Theatre Academy. Hoeks made her acting debut with Frankie (2005). Next she starred in Duska (2007) and won the Golden Calf Award at the annual Netherlands Film Festival, the Dutch equivalent of the Oscars. Since then Hoeks has starred in movies like Tirza (2010), The Gang of Oss (2011), The Girl and Death (2012), The Best Offer (2013), Bros Before Hos (2013) and Renegades (2017). She has also acted in Dutch TV shows like Vuurzee (2005-2009), Bloedverwanten (2010-2014) and Overspel (2011). In 2017 Hoeks starred in Blade Runner 2049, Denis Villeneuve`s sequel to the 1982 sci-fi classic, Blade Runner. The movie has Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Robin Wright and Jared Leto in prominent roles. His 2018 releases include Renegades and The Girl In The Spider`s Web.
