Well-known for his memorable motion capture performances, Terry Notary`s artistic repertoire includes film credits as an actor, stunt coordinator and movement coach. He began his showbiz journey as a Cirque du Soleil performer, and first ventured into Hollywood as a movement coach in the fantasy comedy How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000). This paved the way for further offers in Hollywood as a movement coach or stunt coordinator, and on certain occasions, as an actor.

Subsequently, Terry worked in movies like Planet of the Apes (2001), Superman Returns (2006), Avatar (2009), Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), The Hobbit Trilogy (2012-`14). Besides these, he also gave well-received motion capture performances as Kong in the monster film Kong: Skull Island (2017) and Rocket in the sci-fi film War for the Planet of the Apes (2017). More recently, Terry was seen in motion capture performances as Cull Obsidian and Groot in the Marvel superhero films Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
