T. K. Balachandran, born on 2nd February 1928, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala was a Malayalam film actor. He has acted in more than 200 films. Balachandran's areas of contribution includes Production, Dialogue, Story, Screenplay. He debuted with Prahlaada(1940) when he was just 13 years old. In 1998, the Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu Cinema Industry jointly elected him President of the South Indian Film Chamber. He died from cancer in 2005, aged 77.
