Uma is an Indian film actress who worked in Tamil and Malayalam films. Her mother is a popular actress named Sumitra, who has also worked in Tamil and Malayalam film industries. She made her debut in the Malayalam film named Kuberan released in the year 2000 and then she made her debut in the Tamil film Vanavil and after that she continued doing lead roles in Tamil movies like Kovai Brothers, Adaikalam, etc. She also acted in TV serials named Chikkamma and Valli.
