Vishal Mishra is an Indian music director, composer, and singer known for blending folk elements with contemporary pop. He began his career with the Tamil film Devi in 2016, later earning recognition for his compositions in Munna Michael and
Veere Di Wedding in 2018. Mishra rose to national fame with the song "Kaise Hua" from Kabir Singh, which was released in India on June 21, 2019. His contribution to the film`s soundtrack earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Music Album.
In 2020, he released the romantic single "Manjha," which featured Aayush Sharma and Saiee Manjrekar. He continued building on his success with songs that received wide appreciation for their emotional depth and melodic quality. In 2024, Mishra composed tracks for multiple films including Crakk - Jeetegaa Toh Jiyegaa! (released on February 23), Yodha (March 15), Crew (March 29), Ruslaan (April 26), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (April 11), Mr. & Mrs. Mahi (May 31), Savi: A Bloody Housewife (May 31), Blackout (June 7), and Bad Newz (July 19).
In 2025, he continued to deliver notable work. He composed two tracks for the Hindi action thriller
Deva, which released in India on January 12. His music was also featured in Pooja Meri Jaan, and he composed for
Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, which released on July 11. The romantic drama
Saiyaara, featuring his music and vocals, was released on July 18, with its soundtrack launching earlier on July 4. Mishra also contributed to the musical score of Sarzameen, scheduled for release on July 25, and lent his voice to the track "Mere Murshid Mere Yaara" from the same film. His latest single "Chandaniya" was released on July 18.
