Sherwin David Harris, better known by his screen name Wood Harris, is an American actor. He made his debut with the film, Above the Rim (1994). His notable appearances include movies like As Good as It Gets (1997), The Siege (1998), Remember the Titans (2000), Paid in Full (2002), Dirty (2005), Not Easily Broken (2009), The Babymakers (2012), Dredd (2012), The Watsons Go to Birmingham (2013), Ant-Man (2015) and Creed (2016). But Harris is perhaps best remembered for playing Avon Barksdale on the epic HBO TV show, The Wire (2002-2008). In 2017 Harris starred in Blade Runner 2049, Denis Villeneuve's sequel to the 1982 sci-fi classic, Blade Runner. The movie has Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Robin Wright and Jared Leto in prominent roles.
