About The Event
The Aditya Prakash Ensemble explores the space where raga, improvisation, chamber music and experimental song converge. Rooted in the melodic intricacies of South Indian classical music and informed by jazz, folk and avant-garde traditions, the quintet creates a sound that is both intricately composed and instinctively alive. Each performance becomes a dialogue between tradition and innovation, structure and spontaneity, unfolding through moments of quiet introspection and compelling intensity.
At its heart is vocalist and composer Aditya Prakash, whose distinctive artistic voice bridges Carnatic tradition and contemporary experimental music. Drawing on classical training, adventurous composition and cross-genre collaboration, Prakash approaches melody as a powerful vehicle for both spiritual expression and human connection. His vocals move effortlessly between the nuanced phrasing of raga, explorations of timbre, spoken word and wordless expression. Built as fluid, evolving frameworks rather than fixed compositions, his work invites deep listening, spontaneous interplay and the possibility of discovery in every performance.
