
Afro Anatolian Tales is an Amsterdam-based music collective founded by Şahin During, weaving together ancient Silk Road musical traditions with contemporary electronics, improvisation, and cinematic soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from the rich cultures of Anatolia, Iran, India, and beyond, the ensemble creates a compelling musical dialogue between East and West.
Their critically acclaimed debut album, Afro Anatolian Tales, earned international recognition, including praise from Charlie Gillett and a five-star review from Songlines Magazine.
Renowned for their immersive and constantly evolving live performances, the group collaborates with artists, festivals, and venues across the globe to create unique experiences that seamlessly blend tradition, innovation, and storytelling through sound. Their latest production, Tarab Dance, is set to premiere alongside an international tour in 2026.
