Dub was never just a sound. It was an idea that travelled.
Born in Jamaica, its heavy basslines, stripped back rhythms and experiments with sound went on to influence generations of music culture.
By the 90s, its influence was everywhere, feeding into hip hop in the US, while the UK pushed the sound into jungle, drum and bass and eventually dubstep.
All Day Dub Influences is a 6 hour listening session from 12 PM to 6 PM, curated by Abhishek Jayaprakash, Design Scientist.
