About The Event
This is not a formal recital where you`re expected to sit in the dark and wonder if you should be understanding something deeper about life while listening to Chopin`s Piano.
Instead, Pratham plays Classical Piano and tells you stories. Some of them are funny. Some are sad. Most are about the ridiculous chaos that is his life, and that of the legendary composers whose music he borrows. Like the time he mistook a cow for a bear and nearly drowned in the Himalayas. Or how Beethoven literally made the second part of a breakup song too hard for his ex-girlfriend to play. Or how a hippopotamus in Mali somehow ended up selling you Airtel 3G.
Expect pieces from Einaudi, Chopin, Mozart, Haydn, Hans Zimmer and Beethoven. And by the end, maybe you`ll understand why these pieces matter, not because some dead guy was talented, but because he was just as confused, heartbroken and ridiculous as the rest of us.
This experience is accompanied by our Analog Session Zines which are a guide on how to do nothing. Audiences are encouraged to write their reflections or bring their own books to read during the performance.
