About The Event
Canvas Dance Festival - Where Tradition Inspires Innovation
Now in its fifth edition, Canvas Dance Festival, presented by Abstratics in Bengaluru, brings together a vibrant spectrum of Indian Classical and Contemporary dance, celebrating artists who move beyond the expected and dare to explore what comes next.
Canvas is more than a festival - it is a space for expression, experimentation, and discovery. It gives emerging and visionary artists the freedom to question conventions, reimagine familiar forms, and create work that is deeply rooted in their own artistic voices.
From the timeless vocabulary of Indian Classical dance to the evolving language of Contemporary movement, every performance offers a unique perspective honouring tradition while opening doors to new possibilities.
This year, step into a world where heritage meets experimentation, discipline meets imagination, and movement becomes a canvas for innovation.
Canvas Dance Festival - celebrating the art of movement, the courage to explore, and the limitless possibilities of dance.
