About The Event
The Violin Trio features internationally renowned violinist and composer Dr. L. Subramaniam, performing alongside his son, Dr. Ambi Subramaniam, and granddaughter, Mahati Subramaniam. Bringing three generations of violinists together on one stage, the performance celebrates India's rich musical heritage, artistic legacy and evolution.
Rooted in South Indian classical music, or Carnatic music, the presentation showcases the virtuosity and improvisational brilliance of the violin trio. The performance is accompanied by four percussionists: V. V. Ramanamurthy on mridangam, N. Radhakrishnan on ghatam, Latha Ramachar on kanjira and G. Satya Sai on morsing.
Through a musical dialogue between generations, The Violin Trio brings together tradition, innovation and musical synergy in a unique classical experience.
