About The Event
This is a 5-day STEM Dasara holiday camp
Start date: October 17, 2026; End date: October 21, 2026.
Time: 10 am to 4 pm.
Age group: 6 to 16 years
Children must bring their own lunch and snack boxes.
Working in small teams, each group takes a story and builds a whole scene from it. They create as many figures as the story needs, place them together on a set, and build at least one moving figure driven by a mechanism that the children design, build and test themselves.
Along the way, they research the story they are staging, build frames and armatures, dress and finish the cast, keep a record of every figure they make, and compose the scene for an audience.
Four working makers, a toy maker, a storyteller, an archivist and a puppeteer, join the camp through the week, and the children get to question all of them.
On the final day, every scene comes together into one tiered Gombe Habba, and each team tells its story.
